TUCSON BONSAI SOCIETY
Established 1972
MONTHLY MEETINGS
Our monthly meetings, scheduled on the second Sunday of the month, are open to the public with a program speaker, followed by a raffle and workshop tables for our members. Bring your trees and get advice and/or assistance with our trained and experienced members.
We meet from 12:00 to 3:00 at St. Philip's in the Hills Episcopal Church,
4440 N Campbell Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85718, on the corner of River and Campbell, unless otherwise noted in our events calendar. Park under the solar panels on the far East side of the property.
What to expect at the meetings:
-
Arrive early enough to sign in, get your name tag, join the society, and buy raffle tickets
-
Bring a plant you would like a mentor to help you with (shaping, potting, wiring)
-
At noon we begin announcements and show-and-tells from members with interesting things to share
-
A program is given by one of our members or guests relative to the season for the caring of our trees.
-
We break for refreshments and raffle drawings (usually plants, pots, books, soils, or other surprises).
-
You can either work on your trees with a mentor or watch others with their trees being worked on by mentors (listen closely; you will learn lots of great new information), or you will just chat with other members. We are a very SOCIAL club and love meeting new members!
